Dear School District of Philadelphia Families,
Due to the inclement weather and freezing temperatures, all District schools and offices will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, December 15, 2025.
The safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities. We are encouraging students, families, and staff to travel safely tomorrow morning.
I urge caution as you travel tomorrow. Students who arrive late due to weather-related challenges will not be marked late, or will be excused if absent, upon receipt of a note from a parent or guardian. All outdoor activities scheduled for tomorrow will be moved indoors. Parents and guardians should plan for possible delays with the District’s yellow bus services and on Septa’s subway, trolley and bus routes. If you anticipate delays or have questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s principal or school.
We will provide further weather-related updates as needed. Otherwise, we look forward to welcoming all students and staff back tomorrow, to continue accelerating student achievement!
In partnership,
Tony B. Watlington Sr., Ed.D.
Superintendent
The School District of Philadelphia
