Tyrese Maxey downgraded vs. Indiana Pacers

As the Philadelphia 76ers prepare to get back at it on Friday when they take on the Indiana Pacers at home, they may have to do it while missing a key component: star guard Tyrese Maxey.

Initially listed as probable against the Pacers due to an illness, he has since been downgraded to questionable with an illness per Friday morning’s injury report. Maxey, who has played in all 23 games thus far, is averaging a league-leading 39.9 minutes per night and averaging 31.5 points on 46.7% shooting and 39.1% shooting from deep. He’s also averaging 7.2 assists and 4.7 rebounds as he has been all over the place for Philadelphia on a nightly basis.

If Maxey can’t give it a go, then the Sixers will have to rely on others to step in and produce in his place. The 6-year guard from Kentucky has been phenomenal and Philadelphia will have to hope others can fill his place should he not be able to give it a go.

Tip off from the Xfinity Mobile Arena is set for 7 p.m. EST on Friday.
